Therapy is an investment of time, money, effort, and energy - and it can be life-changing in return.
Insurance:
I am currently accepting the following insurance:
Aetna
Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield
Cigna and Evernorth
Oscar
Oxford
United Healthcare
Optum
Out of Network:
I am also accepting Private Pay. As a licensed therapist in New York, my fees are insurance reimbursable if you have out of network benefits. For additional information about out of network benefits please see below.
Rates
$100 per clinical (50 minute) weekly session.
Intake Rate: $125
Payment
I utilize the payment platform Ivy Pay, which is a preferred HIPPA protected entity, sent via text to you directly to input your payments. Through Ivy Pay I accept payment via American Express, Discover, Mastercard, Visa, and Health Savings Account. I also accept Venmo. See details below for Ivy Pay Platform.
Cancellation Policy
I ask for 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel your session. If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment or need to cancel within 48 hours, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session.
Out of Network Benefits:
Many people have out of network benefits which can be reimbursed for psychotherapy services by as much as 40-70%, depending on the plan. If you believe that you may have out of network benefits, I can provide you with an invoice, or "superbill" for you to provide to your insurance company. Sessions would be paid out of pocket by you, and you are responsible for submitting the superbill to the insurance company. Out of Network benefits are dependent on individual policies and are not guaranteed reimbursement.
Here are some helpful questions to ask your insurance provider to determine if you have out of network benefits:
1. Does my plan offer any out-of-network benefits?
2. Is there a deductible? If so, how much of it has already been met?
3. Are there any limitations on the number of sessions my plan covers for mental health?
4. How much will I get reimbursed per visit when I see an out-of-network mental health provider?
5. Do I need any type of prior approval or referral in order to get reimbursed?
Credit Card Processing with Ivy Pay
As a payment option for our sessions, you may keep a credit card on file with me via Ivy Pay, a credit card processing service. The Terms of Use for using Ivy Pay can be found here: https://www.talktoivy.com/ivy-pay-payor-terms-of-use
Ivy Pay has a few benefits:
I am able to charge you for sessions without swiping a card at each appointment.
The service is secure and compliant with HIPAA standards for client confidentiality.
Your credit card information is stored with Ivy Pay, not in my files or other records; I do not have access to your stored credit card information.
You would be able to review past charges and payments in a text message thread.
The service works simply:
You provide a phone number, which I enter into the provider’s Ivy Pay app along with a charge for the session fee.
Ivy Pay texts you a secure link leading to a page where you enter your credit card information and approve the first charge.
After future sessions, I use Ivy Pay to charge the stored card; the app sends you a text informing you that I’ve done so.
You will only be asked to enter your credit card information once (unless you need or wish to change the card), and you do not need to download an app or regularly interact with Ivy Pay.
You will continue to have the option to pay via other methods if you’d rather not store a card with Ivy Pay, and can change or remove your credit card at any time.
