I’ve always been very interested in how people experience life and the world, and I’ve sought to learn what I can from the lives of others. I am drawn to work as a therapist not only because I find it meaningful to help people relieve stress and conflict in their lives, but because I believe my time working with others allows me to continually grow and evolve.
I earned my Masters in Social Work from Stony Brook University in 2000. My experience and settings in which I formed my clinical mental health experience has been broad. My career began working on an Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit, where I was able to learn and develop my clinical skills. I worked with adults, adolescents, and children with a wide range of mental health issues. I also have experience working in an outpatient mental health agency, specifically with women who were struggling with life changes and challenges. I am also seasoned and experienced with working with school aged children in the NYC public school system.
My experience is not limited to a formal education or work experience. I am a mother to a teenager, and a young adult, with whom I am raising with my amazing husband of 20 years! That being said, I have my own real-life experiences with life’s challenges and changes while raising toddlers, teenagers, and now a college student. I have experienced the same challenges and changes that you too are facing.
I am passionate about wellness and providing a nonjudgmental and safe space for all individuals. People appreciate my warmth, directness and support, as they navigate through life’s challenges and transitions, and I feel privileged to work with those who are seeking support.
